Our Story, the story of Meily
adj. Beautiful, marvelous and radiant.
“Meily” is the combination of Martin’s last name “Mei”, and Lyne’s first name. It’s also the name of Martin’s mother.
Originally from Algeria and China respectively, Lyne and Martin are proud immigrants to Canada and were previously living in Montreal. Life brought us to Moncton as Lyne moved to New Brunswick’s largest city to pursue a degree in Criminology at Universite de Moncton. During our time travelling across the region, we both saw the potential Moncton and surrounding areas had to offer, and fell in love with the people living in this special community.
In March 2021, we left our lives behind in Montreal, packed up the Mazda and relocated to Saint John, New Brunswick to renovate a fourplex we had just bought in Uptown. Since then, we have helped dozens of distressed property owners by buying their properties on their terms, worked with local talent to fix up run-down buildings, and in turn provided improved housing options in local communities.
